Will Ferrell’s Anchorman films hit Netflix

If you’re looking for a way to catch up with the Channel 4 News Team, you’re in luck, they’re over on Netflix. Netflix has been adding tons of flicks to its library including Matilda, the Jaws series, Superbad, and more.

On Tuesday, the Netflix library welcomed both Anchoraman and its 2013 sequel, Anchorman: The Legend Continues. The wacky comedies star Will Ferrell as anchorman Ron Burgundy, a beloved star news host and puppy lover in San Diego with a bad habit of saying anything and everything on that teleprompter.

Beside Ferrell, we also have Christina Applegate, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, and David Koechner padding out the cast of quippy, quotable characters. Meanwhile, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues throws in Meagan Good as Burgundy’s new love interest as things with Applegate’s Veronica Corrningstone didn’t pan out, as well as James Marsden as rival newsreader, Jack Lime.

The film was made under the directorial direction of Adam McKay, who also wrote the comedy, and has since gone on to continue his comedy journey with movies like Daddy’s Home, Step Brothers, Get Hard, and more. Following the original’s release, Ferrell started starring in some of McKay’s other works, as the two would collaborate on several movies.
